I think it’s about time to take on another trifecta. I’ve missed them.

For your prompt this week, we are giving you the first 33 words of a story. You need to complete it with 33 of your own words.

“There’s nothing cute about it,” he said. The register of his voice indicated decision more so than discussion.

She disagreed heartily and privately, staring past his head and out the window behind him.

She clicked her tongue, the guests were late.

Turning, she glared at him disapprovingly as he took off “all the pink” from the walls.

This one is community judged so feel free to vote for me. It’d mean a lot.

  1. Whoa! I love the entries like yours that pack so much into 33 words! Good job!!

  2. Too bad the guests are late. They could join her in being heartily annoyed with him.

  3. hmmm – in a fit of pique she COULD replace it with purple. 🙂

  4. There are worse colors than pink…if I were her, I would find them and use them….all of them!

  5. Sigh. Some people leave no room for other people. Sigh. And they were men coming over. No wonder she was clicking her tongue. =)

  6. At least they won’t puke! What a great final line 🙂 – made me smile. Very imaginative continuation. It does actually make you want to know more…

  7. Thanks so much for linking up to Trifextra. Remember, this weekend’s entries are being judged by the Trifecta community, so I hope you were able to cast your votes. Winners will be announced with the Monday post. Hope to see you back then.

  8. “I see there’s no changing your mind.” And with that he was gone, taking with him his toothbrush and his robe. And she went back to writing in the voice of her dog.

Reply. It won't hurt, I promise.
